Where to Find my Work

I take part in four annual local events. The Pacific Rim Potters group host an exhibition in spring on the Saturday before mother's day in May, and in autumn on the first Saturday of November . I'm also part of a small group of artists who do a spring garden party in June and a seasonal show in December. Scroll down for details of these and other events. Workshops if any are listed at the bottom of this page. View our covid related safety protocols HERE.
If you are in the Victoria area you are welcome to visit the studio by arrangement. I also sell from this website: click HERE. If you see something that interests you please feel free to contact me as many items never make it to my shop page!

2022 Events
At this point in time the two events listed below are set to take place and we look forward to welcoming visitors! If public health mandates change, cancellations are possible and may be beyond our control.
If in doubt please check back here close to the event date for most current information.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited our 4 Artist Art in the Garden 2021 show and sale in Oaklands. It was wonderful to see so many people - IN PERSON!
Our 'Art in the Garden' show and sale never missed a beat due to Covid (yay!) with Lisa, Sid and Adele Samphire and myself the '4 artists'. We have been grateful for our visitors who have all been so respectful of our protocols during the first two springs of the pandemic.
We certainly did miss a couple of key members of our group though. We are happy to announce that Jo and Peggy of Kiln Art Glass will be back with us after a two year absence. Really looking forward to see what they've been creating! We have also invited a previous guest artist to return - Linda Rajotte makes beautiful silver jewellery, and we are so pleased to have her back!
There will be plenty of lovely artwork on display. Sunny weather has been ordered!
Everyone is welcome to drop by this casual outdoor garden party of a sale. We'd love to see you!

Welcome
Spring!
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Spring Show May 7 at the Knox Presbyterian Church Hall, 2964 Richmond Road, Victoria. It was so great to see everyone again! And thank you also to our generous patrons who donated the $1017 raised in our door-prize draw, which has been donated to UkrainianSafeHaven.org
Our next event will be the autumn show Saturday NOVEMBER 5, 2022. Same place, same time. Watch this space to find out which artists will be taking part.

This long running and popular show celebrates the hand made pottery of local ceramic artists. There will be 8 of our regular members this time, as we ease back into our usual show schedule and provide more space for social distancing. The venue is wheelchair accessible and admission is free. We welcome browsers, shoppers and everyone curious. We love to talk clay!

I've been working on other projects recently so my display will be a bit smaller than usual. I will still have some of my regular garden and homeware pieces of course. I'd love to see you - its been a long time!
Teaching and Workshops
TEACHING AND WORKSHOPS
I teach workshops by arrangement, on all aspects of the ceramic process. Contact me for information.
*No classes are scheduled at present.*

My most popular workshop: "Embellishing the ceramic surface, with the Versatility of Stains, Underglazes and Slips" This one day workshop will include demonstrations of ways that I use these colouring agents in my work. There will also be an opportunity to try your hand at applying what you learn on to your own clay body. We'll talk tools and materials, both commercial and studio-made and you will learn application techniques on soft and leather-hard clay, greenware, bisque-ware and raw glaze. I'll also guide you through some simple image transfer techniques. Layer up some of these techniques to develop and expand your own narrative in clay. It will be an active busy day of experimentation and exploration and we'll have some fun too!
