In a "normal" year, I take part in four annual local events.  The Pacific Rim Potters group host an exhibition in spring on the Saturday before mother's day in May, and in autumn on the first Saturday of November .  I'm also part of a small group of artists who do a spring garden party in June and a seasonal show in December.  Scroll down for details of these and other events.  Workshops listed at the bottom of this page.

View our covid related safety protocols HERE.

If you are in the Victoria area you are welcome to visit the studio by arrangement.  I also sell from this website: click HERE.  If you see something that interests you please feel free to contact me as many items never make it to my shop page!

Christmas in Oaklands! Exhibition and Sale 2021

"Christmas in Oaklands" will still be happening at Lisa Samphire's only the weekend of December 4th/5th.  Check out details HERE

Unfortunately, I've been away from the studio for a large part of September and October  and don't have enough stock to take part.

I am back working again, but will only be making a limited list of items.  If there is something particular you are looking for you are welcome to contact me HERE to see if it is on my make-list to be completed before Christmas.  However, I won't be taking any additional orders until 2022.

Looking forward to 2022!

The 2021 Pacific Rim Potters Spring Exhibition and Sale, held annually on the Saturday before Mother's day in May, did not take place in 2020 or 2021 due Covid-19 restrictions.  The decision was taken in consideration of the logistics of the venue and the well being of our visitors.

As we all adjust to our "new normal", plans are underway for the Pacific Rim Potters exhibitions to be back to our regular dates and format for spring 2022.

Tentative date Saturday May 7, 10 - 4. Knox Church Hall.

Down to Earth Art Market - social media.jpeg

Many thanks to everyone who came out to support the artists at Down to Earth Art Market August 2021!

We had a smokin' hot day with loads of visitors and happy sales.

I was there enjoying the gardens and our lovely summer weather with 15 fellow artists including painters, sculptors, mixed media artists (and one potter, me)!

Might there be another in 2022?  I'll keep you posted.

Teaching and Workshops

TEACHING AND WORKSHOPS

I teach workshops by arrangement, on all aspects of the ceramic process.  Contact me for information.

*No classes are scheduled at present.*

My most popular workshop: "Embellishing the ceramic surface, with the Versatility of Stains, Underglazes and Slips"  This one day workshop will include demonstrations of ways that I use these colouring agents in my work. There will also be an opportunity to try your hand at applying what you learn on to your own clay body. We'll talk tools and materials, both commercial and studio-made and you will learn application techniques on soft and leather-hard clay, greenware, bisque-ware and raw glaze. I'll also guide you through some simple image transfer techniques.  Layer up some of these techniques to develop and expand your own narrative in clay.  It will be an active busy day of experimentation and exploration and we'll have some fun too!
