Where to Find my Work
ONGOING: A selection of my work is available in the gift shop at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, 1040 Moss St, Victoria.
In a "normal" year, I take part in four annual local events. The Pacific Rim Potters group host an exhibition in spring on the Saturday before mother's day in May, and in autumn on the first Saturday of November . I'm also part of a small group of artists who do a spring garden party in June and a seasonal show in December. Scroll down for details of these and other events.

If you are in the Victoria area you are welcome to visit the studio by arrangement. I also sell from this website: click HERE. If you see something that interests you please feel free to contact me as many items never make it to my shop page!

TEACHING AND WORKSHOPS
I teach workshops by arrangement, on all aspects of the ceramic process. Contact me for information.
No classes are scheduled at present.
My most popular workshop: "Embellishing the ceramic surface, with the Versatility of Stains, Underglazes and Slips" This one day workshop will include demonstrations of ways that I use these colouring agents in my work. There will also be an opportunity to try your hand at applying what you learn on to your own clay body. We'll talk tools and materials, both commercial and studio-made and you will learn application techniques on soft and leather-hard clay, greenware, bisque-ware and raw glaze. I'll also guide you through some simple image transfer techniques. Layer up some of these techniques to develop and expand your own narrative in clay. It will be an active busy day of experimentation and exploration and we'll have some fun too!
When Covid restrictions are still affecting public gatherings our plans may change with the times.
Excited to tell you about a new addition to my summer schedule: Down to Earth Art Market!
I'll be there enjoying the gardens and our lovely summer weather with 15 fellow artists including painters, sculptors, mixed media artists and one potter, me! I'll be bringing new garden pieces as well as some old favourites as in the photo above ^.

Christmas in Oaklands! Exhibition and Sale
2021~Lisa Samphire and I hope to invite you to join us as we both open our homes for our annual seasonal mini studio tour.
We certainly plan to have some sort of event December 2021 - just not sure yet what format it will take.
Check back here or on Lisa's site samphireglass.ca for updates.
The 2021 Pacific Rim Potters Spring Exhibition and Sale, held annually on the Saturday before Mother's day in May, did not take place in 2020 or 2021 due Covid-19 restrictions. The decision was taken in consideration of the logistics of the venue and the well being of our visitors.
As we all adjust to our "new normal", plans are underway for the Pacific Rim Potters exhibitions to be back to our regular dates and format for spring 2022.
Tentative date Saturday May 7, 10 - 4. Knox Church Hall.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited our Art in the Garden 2021 show and sale in Oaklands. It was wonderful to see so many people - IN PERSON! Lisa and I are already planning our December sale and thinking ahead to
Art in the Garden for June 2022.
Happy Summer everyone!
The TD Art Gallery Paint-in is always a fun and busy day, filling the whole length of Moss Street with activity. Unfortunately the 33rd planned for July 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions regarding gatherings, and the 2021 event will suffer the same fate.
The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is still committed to supporting the creative community in our city.
